Application process to the CA CTC

Any online/out-of-state graduates working in CA who have submitted their application for a credential to the CTC (California commission on teacher credentialing)? I know the website says it takes about 50 business days to process new applications, but has anyone applied and gotten their credentials approved faster? I know my application may take longer because my school didn’t directly recommend me for a credential, I had to mail the letter they wrote. Hoping to start work during summer school, but I don’t know if my application will process in time. Any insight  would be greatly appreciated!
