Gannon University, Ruskin, SLP Accreditation Question

Question

Hey ya'll,

I got accepted to Gannon University for their Master of Science Speech Language Pathology program and I am highly interested in attending but would love more clarification on what exactly this means:

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at Gannon University is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association.

If someone could please help me that would be so much appreciated. It is a new program which why it is not accredited yet it just scares me.

For explicit dates of a foundation's accreditation or data on any extra areas, instructional locales or branch grounds remembered for the accreditation, it would be ideal if you click on the name of the certifying association.
