I am a Bioengineering MS student at UCLA.  I reached out to a professor whose lab I want to work in to fulfill the research requirement for my MS track and eventually write a thesis on my work.  I suggested to meet with him in person, and he agreed.  I am interested in starting to work in his lab in the summer because I want to get the most out of my time working in his lab, and I want to get acquainted early and start thinking about the project I want to work on.  Does anyone have any recommendations for my meeting with him? Things to ask, things to suggest to him.  I don't know much about how research in graduate school works.  I am just trying to secure a lab position, and get the most out of my research experience at UCLA.
