First of all, here is my profile.

Mayor: Applied Mathematics

GPA: ~3.6 (9.12 in a 1-10 scale)

Relevant Courses:

  • Calc I-III
  • Linear Algebra I-II
  • Dynamical systems I-II (ODE's)
  • PDEs
  • Celestial mechanics
  • Mathematical Biology
  • Mathematical modelling in biology
  • Stochastic process

Research experience:

  • 1 REU in geometry, pure math, not really applied math but research experience nonetheless.
  • 1 summer school in geometry

Teaching experience:

  • 1 year TA in Calc 1
  • 1 semester TA in Calc 3

Possible schools (?):  I am looking for places that have strong applied math departments, especially if they have a focus in modelling or differential equations. So far I am looking at UTK, UCLA and Washington.

I am looking for more options, also wondering if I have enough qualifications to enter any of my possible schools.

Thanks for reading!
