Alexis G Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) Hi! Anyone willing to share information regarding the CSDCAS application? With last semester being cut short and relocated online, the instruction regarding the application process has not been fully covered. I am currently on the "experience" section (wondering what others add), but any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Edit: I would also love to hear others input on the letter of intent. Edited August 20, 2020 by Alexis G
Shecan Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Regarding the letter of intent, it all depends what the school is asking you to write. I would say focus on why you chose the field of SLP, what currently interest you about the field (i.e cleft, autism, AAC devices), any experience you have that relates to your interest in the field (working with kids with autism, volunteering at a hospital or private practice etc), future goals (short term and long term), what characteristics you have that will make you at great SLP (tie this with your experience). If you have great communication skills what experience do you have that proves that? There are great books that you can purchase that can guide you on how to structure your essay. Good luck!
