Hi, I am writing my explanation for my academic probation. However, I feel as if I am making excuses and not entirely focusing on how I have improved. I was appreciate it if someone would look over my explanation and give me feedback? Thank You!!
During my first year in college, I was placed on academic probation at College due to failing grades resulting from poor attendance. My transition from high school to college was challenging for me. I was still in this mindset where studying the bare minimum could still allow me to pass. Neglecting to put effort into my classes due to disinterest also made it strenuous to focus and study. However, since then I have learned that hard work is needed in order to progress. I analyzed what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do in order to improve my grades. I overcame my failures by developing a better work ethic where I invested more time and effort into my studies, and this has allowed me to maintain a GPA above 3.0. My passion and motivation are reflected in the work that I've done and my current academic record demonstrates my commitment to education. My work ethic is stronger than it was four years ago. I have the motivation to maintain my current study habits, and I have the intellect, the potential, and the passion to succeed.
