ITT: Funding anxiety discussion. Anyone else admitted to ASU for Math/Applied Math/Math Ed/Stat waiting to hear back, or already received an offer, regarding funding for a TA or RA position? Any insider information regarding the selection process, probabilities, competitiveness, etc? I'm trying to wait patiently, but I'm also freaking out a bit. I was admitted into the Pure Math PhD program just before new years (yay!), but it really comes down to if I get funding or not. I'm also waiting to hear back about some external grants/fellowships I applied for, but in terms of probabilities, I have my chips on ASU for TA/RA position.

Also, if anyone wants to talk about the admission process, the ASU math department, culture, etc.

I just received an offer for full funding in the form of a TA position at 20 Hr/Wk. Holy !@# I can't believe it!
