Hi! I'm waiting out a decision from NYU Steinhardt. Wondering if any other folks have/are applying to the MA Food Studies program for this fall? How you feelin?

Hi! I'm also waiting on this one. I think it could be a bit longer because the deadline is Feb 1. So excruciating to wait though!

Hello! Yeah, I'm applying to Chatham University in the coming days, kind of a last minute decision. I don't know how confident to feel about NYU. I did undergrad in Sustainable Food and Farming, had an okay GPA (3.54) and have little professional experience outside of farm work. It feels like a toss up. I also just realized that I didn't double space my essay, but 1.5 spaced it, so theres that. Whoops. Submitted the app on January 3rd, so hopefully I'll know sometime in February ? what's your background?  Are you applying elsewhere? Best of luck!!

You sound like a great candidate, I wouldn't worry too much about the 1.5 space - I doubt it will weigh on the decision at all. I'm also considering applying to Chatham late, haven't decided yet. I applied to Syracuse, UVM, & UC Davis. So far only heard from Syracuse (got in). I have been out of school for a while &  I have a lot of experience in food systems work but a shitty undergrad performance so I also feel like NYU is a toss up for me. Definitely more applicants than usual this year from what I've heard. Best of luck to you too, keep me posted!
