ghettostudent Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Hi everyone! I am from a small asian country where there aren't any job opportunities for PhD's in the market. I just got accepted into my top choice PhD program in the US. My research area is either going to be Polymers or electrochemistry. I'm really happy about this because I really like both fields an I truly enjoy doing research. However, I'm worried that I will not be able to find a job once I'm done and I'll have to got back to a country where I can't find a job with my degree. I don't want to spend the next 5 years of my life on a degree that I won't be able to use. Could you please let me know what the job market looks like for an internaional student in Engineering with a PhD? Thank you!
