MSACST (M.S. Applied Chemical Science and Technology) @ UW Seattle

Hello, 

I have received an offer from UW Seattle for MSACST. From the looks of the course website, the M.S. Course appears slightly new. I wanted to go for a PhD but this course offers one year Masters (non thesis track). I am an international student. Is someone else also joining? I need advice whether I should join there as an M.S. or gain experience in my own country and apply in next admission cycle?

In general, Will doing an M.S. from U.S. increases my chances for a PhD in next cycle?

Also, UW Seattle is a good university. I would be happy to continue as a PhD there.
