Oneeva12 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I know most people here are gunning for top 20 programs but I was wondering about some other smaller/lesser known programs. I got in Washington State with pretty decent funding so I'm seriously considering them. Does anyone know any specific about this program, besides that they are adjunct with their criminal justice program? BTW, I'm in American politics.
MissingVandyCandy Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Yes, if you make your advisor Cornell Clayton in law and courts you can overcome the lesser name brand of WSU and still find a good shot at tenure track. That said, he is a Law and Courts guy (Americanist) but I don't know if Law and Courts is your area. In any event, he's by far their biggest name there and he can place you within the Law and Courts niche. Zahar Berkut 1
E.C.D. Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 pullman is a complete dump and wsu is an awful college - no "name" can overcome the fact that your phd is from a garbage school wannabee, wuerzburg, Sichselbstoffenbaren and 5 others 8
Chip22 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 This grievance must have one hell of a backstory.
GopherGrad Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 This grievance must have one hell of a backstory. Closing the locks and installing the electricity barrier had no effect. Silver carp from poliscijobrumors have invaded our pristine waters and are whacking the fishermen in the head. Zahar Berkut, unclejoecannon, adaptations and 1 other 4
rus949 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 WSU is good only if you have the best adviser, or are willing to work at a 4-4. The department is undergoing turmoil, so think twice before heading there. Only the best survive WSU to get a job.
PoliSciEntist Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 If you got in then why didnt you post this on the results page? Maybe im missing it but can only find two interviews posted on the results page. Just to point out that the original post is from 2008 kaykaykay 1
