Hi! I applied to LLE and SJE. I got an unofficial acceptance email from SJE a few weeks ago and still waiting to hear from LLE or get anything official.

Have you heard anything?

Hey, I haven't heard anything from SJE. I'm assuming it will most likely be a rejection, but I would be nice to have an answer. If you don't mind me asking did you apply for the full time program?

I applied for the part time program! I asked when they give the actual acceptance and they said March-April so there is still time!

Well in any case I wish you the best of luck with the LLE program as well!

I'm not sure if it was your posting but I believe one other person on this website wrote that they received an unofficial acceptance for the flex program

Yep-- mine was unofficial acceptance via email to the flex time program. I haven't gotten anything official yet though.

I also applied to LLE and haven't heard anything from them. They said they start uploading letters in early March and continue into March, April, and sometimes later months. I wouldn't give up hope yet!

@sayyasa I also applied to PhD SJE, haven't heard a thing. Not sure what to make of it.

International applicant- full time. All materials were submitted by the 11/16 deadline.

Best of luck to you. I honestly didn't really have any hope of getting into the program in the first place. I'm a domestic applicant but I my research experience is limited. I submitted everything on my end by the 11/16 deadline however one of my references was a week late.

I was told by a friend that if you email the department they can give you an update regarding your application but I personally could not handle a rejection through email

Any updates from anyone here? I'm kind of surprised that I heard "unofficial acceptance: 5 weeks ago and the status is the same on the application and haven't received anything in the mail.

Hi All!

Has anyone received a response for PhD Curriculum and Pedagogy application or from the Language and Literacies?

I've been accepted to full time PhD Language and Literacies. Got unofficial department email late February and the official letter by email first week of March.

I haven't heard anything from the admissions, does this mean a rejection? or could I be in the waitlist?

Dang - That's quite a bit of time! I would get in touch with them. I received official email notification from SGS Graduate Admissions Application <sgs.apply@utoronto.ca> a week after unofficial email from department. It was a basic email that said to check https://apply.sgs.utoronto.ca where a decision document and funding document was posted.

Have you heard from LLE at all?

Thank you! I'm not. Canadian Master's and American Bachelor's.

Send them an email to check on the status of your application. Best to you!

Hi there... I also think that its been insanely long time waiting for a response. TBH I first felt my application is unsuccessful, but then why would they prolong a rejection? Do you think there's a waitlist?

Anyways, I contacted them last Friday and the response was as follows,

Thank you for reaching out.

Your application status is currently under review. Because you applied before the main application deadline, the expectation is that you will receive a response in the next two weeks. We are working to release decisions as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.

I got the same response and I’m guessing the international applicants are waiting still. I’m really hoping to hear something this week. Two weeks is a long time to wait ?
