FreedomWriter Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Any info/insights on this? Just started MSW and have Growing interest in social policy and law in social work.
MSW-ali Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Hey! I'm starting my MSW in the fall, and am taking the LSAT next month to apply my dual law degree. I don't have too much info since I'm not in the program, but I am using it to have a more well-rounded approach to social justice law. I'm not sure about all programs, but the ones I've seen all follow the same general format. You enter in one program (either MSW or law) and complete your first year entirely in that field. Your second year is going to be the first year curriculum for the other degree. Then, the third and fourth years will be both curriculums at once. That's just going off a non-advanced MSW 2 year program, and the standard 3 year law program. I hope that helps! brokeactor 1
brokeactor Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Would love to follow this thread as well. My feeling is once I get a closer look at the systems, I'll wish I had a law degree to do something about them. MSW-ali 1
