Hi, I am studying undergrad in mechanical engineering in India. I am planning to apply to McGill for MSc for fall 22'. I have a few questions regarding the program. I will really appreciate it if you can answer any. Thank you.

How competitive is getting into MSc Mechanical Engineering (Thesis)?

How much emphasis is given on research in the mechanical engineering department and if the professors are good supervisors?

What kind of financial help is provided by the department?

I am interested in MEMS and energy production but I don't have any lab experience because of COVID tho I am working remotely. How could this affect the application?

What's the way around contacting the supervisor and what's the best time to start a dialogue with them.

I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to help me out.

Also, what are my chances for an admit?
