Jess Burnham Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Hello! Question for this community of knowledge holders...I am first author on a manuscript that has been accepted for publication. I conducted all data analysis and wrote the vast majority of the manuscript, which is a strong contribution to the literature on community-level violence prevention (domestic violence and sexual assault specifically). I also like that it highlights my expertise in mixed methods concept mapping methodology. When considering Ph.D. applications in the field of Sociology, would this manuscript be an acceptable writing sample? Or, would you suggest submitting a portion of my master's thesis/writing a new paper based on my thesis data? Thanks in advance, folks!
TrešnjaMonkay Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Divergent question: Does this mean you are not in a Master's-Ph.D. program for your Master's? Are you in a program that is only the Master's? I thought these didn't really exist anymore.
