publichealthconnect Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) Hi everyone! Public Health Connect (PHC) is a growing community of public health students and early career professionals. We strive to create a space for folks to connect, foster a sense of community and get access to opportunities in the public health space. We are excited to launch our ‘Connect-ing Chats’ pilot series of two informal networking events where community members can come together in a virtual space to get to know each other and chat about public health. Our first event will take place on Thursday July 22nd from 7-8:30pm EDT. We invite you to join the PHC executive team and fellow PHC community members for an evening of sharing different public health stories. Storytelling is an important skill for public health and networking. Effective storytelling can help you market yourself at an interview, in a letter of intent or even in informal spaces. In addition to practicing this important skill, our event is an opportunity for you to listen in on the stories of our team and community members, and inform your future journeys. One thing that we find so exciting about public health is that everyone in the field has their own unique set of experiences and we can't wait to bring our community together to discuss them. This event will be limited to 25 community members in addition to our executive team, so get your ticket before they’re gone! Tickets for the event will be $5 and refunds will be available up to 7 days before the event (not including the Eventbrite processing fee). You can purchase your ticket here: https://lnkd.in/ebUyzKTAlthough the session will be facilitated by the PHC team, the main goal is to come together as a community and share our stories, so please come prepared to participate. We hope to see you there! ---- (Admins please me let me know if this forum is not the correct place for this post) Edited July 13, 2021 by publichealthconnect
