rama Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hi, I got through the MFA program of ICP-Bard. I have some scholarship and am looking for student loan. What is the interest rate usually for the loans in the US? Which agencies give loans? Any guidance would be highly appriciated.

If you're an international student, it's nearly impossible to get a loan in the U.S. unless you are a citizen, a U.S. permanent resident or have a co-signer who is a citizen or a permanent resident. That being said, interest rates on U.S. federal loans are 6.8% and private loans can be a lot more. It varies greatly by lender.
