TrythisModel Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 I'm working as a secondary school mathematics teacher now. Planning to apply for MS in statistics Fall 2022. Undergraduate: China Top 2 Major: Life Science GPA: 81/100 Type of Student: Asian Male (from Southeast Asia) GRE: 321 Q: 169 V: 152 W: 3.5 Program: MS Statistics/ Biostatistics Research Experience: No publications LOR: Average, I am an average student but familiar with both 3 professors. Courses: Advanced Mathematics I&II (Course similar to CalcI & II & III) (64), Linear Algebra (70), Statistics & Probability (78), Applied Statistics (82) Introduction to Computation (85), Data Structure and Algorithm (80) *I took the first two courses in my first year and sadly I perform very worse due to a huge gap on education level between two countries, honestly I tried my best. My GPA increase significantly after first year when I'm adapted to the system, does it help in my application? After graduation I have finished some courses in online learning platforms and earn some Specialization Certificate but I doubt if it is helping in application. GRE subject test is not available in my country, I hope to find a way to increase my chances of admission. Applying to: TAMU MS Statistics KU Leuven MS Statistics I found that most of the program are unaffordable, since Master has lesser chance to get scholarship right? Need some suggestion on any matching school, thanks! (Europe and US)
