I got rejected from LSE today... :(

quite embarrassed because quite confident to get offer

I applied for MSc in global politics, and international reltaions(2nd choice) but it took only 5-6 weeks to be decided since I applied last month.

I can assume there might be some disappointing points on my application?

and the letter said as following:

Whilst it is not the policy of the School to give specific reasons for decisions, we offer the following to clarify matters. Decisions are contingent upon the availability of places, there are simply not enough places to give an offer to everybody with a first, upper second or equivalent. Many applicants, most of whom are extremely well qualified, are inevitably disappointed. Departments are looking for excellent references, a focussed statement of academic purpose and in some cases relevant work experience and good test results. Please be aware that some selectors make decisions on more than one programme. If both your choices are selected for by the same person, they may have made both decisions at the same time, considering your application on its merits for each programme separately.

Is this just an automatic letter? or anybody with different contents? It refers an excellent reference first, so I'm concerned about there was some negative comments in my reference?

it's a heartbroken day... anybody who got rejection letter, please share the saying
