AppleBananas Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Hi. I wonder if it's necessary to take Real Analysis before applying for a PhD program in Stat/Biostat. I'm doing a master in Stat(undergrad major is also stat) in a pretty good uni in Asia and planning to apply for a PhD program in US. Besides all the Stat courses required for my major, I took linear algebra, calculus and analysis(undergrad). I wonder if it's necassary to take Real Analysis since I'm not confident in getting an A in that course. What if I get a B or even lower score? Would it better if I don't take it at all that getting a bad score.
