Gage Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 (edited) I am an international student who studied political science for my bachelor's degree at a top 10 university. I worked in a nonprofit organization after graduation. I like the field, but the OPT Visa only allowed me to work for 1 year in the U.S. I was accepted to the two programs + other data science/policy STEM-designated programs and am trying to figure out which one has better overall prestige and employment prospects in the private sector. My goal is to find employment at an organization or company that can provide a stable employment under the H1B Visa. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the private sector, but I worked for free for too long at nonprofits. I would like to start making money now. While the MQM Business Analytics program seems to provide a broader opportunity in business contexts while Chicago’s name brand and computer science training will give good technical expertise. Some people tell me that learning computer science in the MSCAPP is always superior to general business, while others tells me that the MQM at Duke will give you at least a 30k higher salary than any policy graduate school. Any input on either school would be appreciated! Edited March 26, 2022 by Gage
