How would one go about collecting rocks from different eons?

Like the title says, since I was a kid I loved learning about the earth's history. A dream of mine is to once collect rocks from all different geological eons. How would I go about doing this? I know of course I would need to travel to many different places on Earth.

So anything could help, maybe where ancient rocks/crystals can be found naturally? Like a wiki of sorts? If there is no such resource I'm also willing to collaborate with someone to create such a wiki too! Most of these rocks are always found in museums but I would like to acquire them for myself.
