laserite Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Hi! I am from Spain and I have applied to WashUÂ and DePaul in Chicago. They require proof of funds in English, but my bank will only issue them in Spanish. What can I do? I though of a translation from American Translators Association. Any other options? Are there any US agencies that could translate the documents? Thnx!
NO8DO Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 You could probably get an official translation from an English translator in Spain. I'm not sure how picky they are but I'd imagine that any certified translation would work.
pointedears Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I agree. Any certified translation is usually ok for most of the schools(I am doing the same thing too these days). However just to be sure, check with your schools once.
fortunata Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Why not call the US embassy (or a consulate near you) to ask them for a reference? They may even be able to provide a certified translation for you. I know that the Italian consulates in the US offer this kind of service (i.e. translations of English documents into Italian).
