I will be going for the M.S. route, so I hope to be funded through a Research position. Undergrad Institution: Local State SchoolMajor(s): Mechanical EngineeringGPA: 3.76 (3.86 Institutional, made some B's in High School Concurrent Credit courses.)Type of Student: Domestic White MaleGRE Revised General Test: N/A (Will take in Fall/Not take depending on requirements from schools)Program Applying: Aerospace Engineering MastersResearch Experience: Sophomore Fall-Junior Spring: Selected as one of five universities to receive $20,000 from NASA to construct an experiment in sustainability onboard the International Space Station. Worked with Biology students to construct a payload that was able to handle the experiment and properly record data all while still following all requirements involved in hosting a project in microgravity. Senior Fall-Senior Spring: Working on an honors thesis with the director of the Mechanical Engineering program to construct a modular, multi-degree of freedom system to test lateral vibrations through rapid prototyping. Using the Saturn V rocket vibration data as a baseline for the system.Awards/Honors/Recognitions: Received $7,300 from my state's Space Grant program to fund an internship at NASA. Winner of the school symposium's 2022 Dean’s Award for Undergraduate Poster Presentation. Top scholarship award from state government and state school; typical dean's/chancellor awards each semester. Pertinent Activities or Jobs:Secretary of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers at school. Team Lead for schools Baja SAE team (2nd year ever, was a lead of the inaugural team.).
