gradbear78 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Hi! I have a BA in International Studies and I decided it was time to get my MA, so I applied and got accepted into two programs, one at SFU in Vancouver for the International Studies MA and a second one at USASK in Saskatoon for the Political Studies MA. SFU offered 7k funding to pay for the programs 1st year, while USASK offered 21k in funding for the 1st year (it is yet to be confirmed if this funding can be extended for a second year). Almost everybody keeps telling me that SFU's programs are stronger than those of USASK, I was set to go to Vancouver, but I think USASK's funding offer has given me something to think about. So I guess my question is, which university do you think has a stronger program? is USASK rep really that bad? Are there job opportunities for Social Science graduates in Saskatoon? P.S. I am an international student, so I really do not know much about this cities. Thanks! Jeffery Berry 1
