Dahlberg Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Dear all, I am looking for a Ph.D. in communication in the US. Before obtaining MA in sociology, I was in continental philosophy and queer theory; therefore, I am unfamiliar with programs specializing in more empirical research. I have recently found out that my research interests are a better fit for departments of communication and media. Some departments I checked seem to specialize in science, technology, and information, but I am primarily interested in media and digital cultures. So, I kindly ask you to recommend departments closer (or have people focusing on) to cultural studies and social research rather than studies of technology. I would be grateful for any help and recommendation. My research interests include: Social media discourse analysis. Digital cultures. Homophobic and anti-feminist sentiments in Russia and post-soviet countries.
L93 Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Following... I guess that our research interests are almost identical. ?
