MAT

Hi,

I am currently in an MAT program for Social Studies. I was just wondering if there was anything (other than teaching middle and secondary education) that someone can do with a MAT degree job-wise? Also, while I know it is a terminal degree, is it a possibility to go on to another degree after that one in education (M.Ed., M.A., PhD, etc.) without actually teaching, if a particular topic interests you?

I'm in a MAT ESOL and Reading/Literacy program. I am pretty sure there would be a PhD program out there for me in applied linguistics or something in urban literacy.
