Graduate Recruitment Question

I am currently doing a project for my assistantship in which I need to analyze different university's graduate program recruitment styles as well as their websites (in terms of recruiting new graduate students). Even though the program I am analyzing is art history, I would appreciate answers from any discipline. Here are the questions I have:

1. Have any graduate programs actively recruited you? If so, what were their methods?

The next question(s) is specifically asking about the graduate program's site (ex. art history) not the general graduate school's site.

2. During the process of applying to a graduate program, has any university's program website stood out as particularly bad or good? If so, what are the sites, and why were they so helpful or discouraging?
