sleepystudent Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I'm looking to apply to MSW programs for Fall 2023. I am applying to a few MSW programs, but essentially would love to go to UCLA since it is closer to home and went there for my undergrad. I got my undergrad degree in Sociology with a 3.57 GPA and have been working in the months since I graduated in June 2022, but I'm nervous that due to my lack of SW background it will affect the admissions decision. I started working 2 months after I graduated for a non-profit agency as a Sexual Assault Advocate/case manager. I barely have a few months in the field so I am worried that it will not be enough. I can't even ask my supervisor for a letter of rec because it's too recent. I was able to get three solid letters of rec from professors at UCLA. Did anyone else have a similar experience or any advice regarding the application process?
