craf78 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Weird. Got a letter from a canadian university. All it says is tons of congratulations on my acceptance to the program without a word about whether or not I will get any funding. Then I called the school and was told I might be guaranteed some TAship, but have to attend a mandatory orientation. Anybody with similar experience? Did you accept and when you did, what changed? More seriously I am an international student and have to prove by some sort of funding from school that I could handle the financial needs of the program in order to get a visa. Curious because I have few hours to have to accept.
Minnesotan Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 That sounds shady. I would wait for a funding letter before committing. If they're not willing to put it in writing, whatdoes that tell you about the value of their guarantees?
