I hope this message finds you well. I have a LOT of questions about the ethnomusicology programs but I'll start off with a bit of introduction.
I'm currently a sophomore at one of the universities on the east coast studying ethnomusicology and I have a plan of getting into the field in the future as a MA candidate/PhD candidate.
However, I would like to ask what conditions could make me a strong candidate for future applications.
things I know of for now include:
1)writing samples and SOP
2)research background
3)GPA?
.....
Other than that, I would also like to know your opinions on selecting schools and other things I should enhance during my undergrad years, which include suggestions on improving my writing, etc.....
Thank you so much :) I'm looking forward to hearing back from people!
