Asking to extend offer deadline?

Hello! As I am waiting on one more school to give me a decision on whether I am accepted or not, the two other schools I applied to have already gotten back to me. I was wondering if it's appropriate to ask for an extension for me to make a decision just as I am waiting for a decision from my last school. I don't want to pay my deposit just yet since it's expensive...

What deadline did they give you? Most grad schools have the universal deadline of April 15. I do not believe you can extend it beyond this point.

I agree with the former post, actually, I think deposit is buying time for waiting and hesitating. But I think you can search for the cases that argue to have their deposit partly refund, I heard that some people can succeed (but of course not all).
