kaylai Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I am a US citizen who recently graduated with a BS from a US university, but I am now beginning my graduate studies toward a PhD at the University of Cambridge in the UK. I am having an impossible time trying to find scholarships that I apply for. Money offered from the University of Cambridge is mostly for UK citizens, and US programs (excepting Fulbright and NSF GRFP) are only for students attending a US institution. It is very frustrating, especially since UK schools do not offer tuition wavers for international students, as schools in the US do. It is so frustrating when I keep reading about all of these US students going to US schools who get amazing scholarships on top of the money already offerred to them by their university. I am running on student loans at the moment! Follow my dreams, I told myself, it's only money! But, finances are stressing me out. Other than Fulbright and NSF GRFP, can anyone tell me about any major or minor sources of finance for US citizens attending non-US graduate programs?? Thanks!
