Programs for Minority/Asian-American Lit.?

Hey all! I'm new here and I'm currently immersed in the grad school application process. I'm really interested in programs where I'd be able to study minority literature--Asian-American lit. in particular. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I'm looking mostly at MA programs right now, with the intent of pursuing a PhD afterward, but if you guys have suggestions of strong PhD programs I'll take those, too. Thanks a bunch!

Are you looking at English programs or Lit/Comp Lit?

For English, Brown and Columbia comes to mind. Possibly Berkeley, though that doesn't see to be a strong interest among the grad students.

Thanks! And yes, I do mean English programs. I thought about Comp. Lit., but I don't have as strong of a background in it as I do in English.

Off of the top of my head (and on top of the places strokeofmidnight referenced), I'm thinking UCLA, CUNY Graduate Center and UPenn.

I'm not sure how great the department as a whole is in this area, but WashU has at least one great prof working in minority/Asian American lit (mostly contemporary, I think).
