I'm on 3 waitlists should i be optimistic or give up?- philosophy MA

I am currently on the waitlists for UWM (Wisconsin-Milwaukee), VT (Virginia tech) & WMU (western Michigan) MA philosophy programs. Curious about opinions on if i should be optimistic or start looking for fulltime work?

I can sympathize, I'm also on the waitlist for 3 MA programs (Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Florida). I'm optimistic but it doesn't hurt to get started on a backup plan. The good thing is you'll know for sure in no more than 3 weeks!
