neurogrl7 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I applied to neuroscience PhD programs, and now I need to make a decision. I have narrowed it down to three schools: Texas A&M BCN, University of Florida IDP, and UAB Neuroscience. Out of the three, where would you go? Good luck making the decision!
crustaceangirl Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I was accepted to IDP as well! I chose not to go there, because I was accepted to another school that I liked better, but they are offering a REALLY nice financial aid package given the cost of living in Gainesville. I grew up in the 'ville also, so I am a bit biased toward it as a nice place to live. I can't comment on A&M or UAB though.
aggie Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hi, I am currently at A&M, and I would definitely suggest you to come here. It's waaay bigger and richer than the two other institutions you mentioned. It has pretty good neuroscience program too. And the life is cheapest by far. Probably cheapest in the whole nation!!!
StarvingStudentYeah Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Reminds the Texan: Bigger does not always mean better.
neurogrl7 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Thank you guys for your advice. Good luck!
