t2v
Hey guyz.. U gotta help me here.. I recently got accepted to a really good university.. One of my top choices in fact.. The issue is like this. I emailed a prof after I submitted my application.. He replied with an email showing interest in me and stating that our research interests matched. He even put attachments of the labs work. Now I get accepted to the institute. and I mail him telling him the news. The wierd thing starts now.. He doesnt reply. I waited a few days and sent him another email. Why isnt he replying,..? Not many students get accepted and probably 4 students get in his field. !! The masters program isnt funded .. so its not like I'm asking him to fund me..!! What went wrong..?
hambergrrr
I wouldn't stress out about it or take it personal. Professors are busy people... especially if it's a quarter-system school, it's the week before finals right?
jewelbomb
Chill. He's probably just on spring break this week.
t2v
Thanks guys... being an international student the spring break slipped my mind... On a side note.. What do people put in the subject line of their emails..? What do you think will make professors look at your email from the many mails that they get..? DUguy333
Quarter systems are on break this week so don't worry. As far as entitling emails, make it something brief that relates to the topic matter regarding material of the latter.
