How do you check the status of your online applicaton for graduate studies?

I've almost submitted all the details (transcripts, toefl, gre scores et al), now I need to just make a check if everything has been received by the institute. Ideally this website should work: http://cs.stanford.edu/admissions/status

But it seems to be down. How do you check the status of your application if this site is down?

try sending an email to the graduate secretary or the graduate program coordinator (usually a prof in the dept). you can expect to hear back within an hour to few days, depending on how busy they are.

I encountered the same problem.

Princeton uses the same application system as Stanford. So ... in case you also submitted an application to Princeton , you can login through their link and then you will be able to check the status of both your Princeton and Stanford applications.
