steeblo Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Hi, I have a really low verbal and analytical scores due to english being my second language and my gpa is really low, what are my chances of getting into a PhD program in Mathematics?? Which range of schools should I be applying to?? GRE: 790 (Quant) 360 (Verb) 3.0 (Analytic) GPA: 3.1 (Overall); 2.76 (Math) 2 years of research in Mathematics including a presentation of my findings at a conference BS in Math earned in 3 years Mathematics Department Student Representative Recording Sec, VP of Membership, President (2 terms) of Alpha Phi Omega Recommendations from Advisor, Research Advisor, Chair of Mathematics Dept, and a Professor do I even have a chance?
omid Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 your verbal score is low i think for a person who lives in US anyway don't worry there is always hope one of my friends applied for masters program and got accepted in Wyoming Uni here is his profile: GPA: 3.0 GRE verbal : 270 Quant : 770 you must focus on middle ranking Uni i think
