vaishnavi Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 iv applied for phd in purdue for the interdisciplinary food science program.. and I was contacted in early Feb and told that my application has been submitted for fellowship consideration by the grad school. But I havent heard from them yet!!! Has anyone else received the ross fellowship offer from Purdue? And what percentage of nominated applications actually receive the fellowship? Shall I contact someone at the grad office and find out...? Im so confused
crossedfingers Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 i received the ross fellowship from purdue. it came in the mail last week. I don't know if that is because my dept is different (i'm bme). you could try contacting your dept and see what the status is .
vaishnavi Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 congrats! did u receive the intimation by email or post? And were you informed that your application was nominated beforehand? I contacted my dept by email but haven't received a reply... will call and find out i guess...
crossedfingers Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Nope. I was never told that I was nominated. I received the notification first my email and then Fed-Ex. The fellowship is apparently from the college of engineering and probably has nothing to do with my department. Good look fidning out about yours
