online writing course?

Hello,

I am applying for admission to a technical graduate degree now. I am posting here because in the process of my application, especially essay writing, I found it necessary and worthwhile for me to sharpen my English composition skills somehow.

Admittedly I am a nonnative speaker, but since I have been learning English for a long time and recently got 650 on the GRE verbal section,

I feel like taking some online English writing courses not specifically addressing the needs of nonnative speakers. More importantly, I want to do some writing and get scholarly feedback from others.

Any recommendations? Thanks

UCLA extension has some online writing courses in their catalogue. I haven't taken them, but you can look there. UMass online also has tons of online courses.

Columbia hosted a BreakWriting listserv that just ended. However, you might find some useful information in the archives.
