i did reach out to POI in mid-jan, replied asking me to wait. will reach out soon. but no updates yet.....

Would you mind sharing what concentration you applied to? I applied to Ed Policy through SHIPS.

DAPS! have u heard of anything yet? by mid-Jan, the POI seems suggesting that they have not started to review the application

Nope, complete radio silence. I've been scouring Reddit and gradcafe and so far it seems like no one has heard anything and I have no idea if people are being exceptionally quiet this year or if everything is just delayed.

Ahh… same finding here lol. I haven’t seen any updates for GSE phd programs. I guess we need to wait and see. I might want to follow up with my supervisor if I haven’t heard anything in late Feb.

If I had any contact with POIs I would've done the same but I wasn't able to establish contact with the professors I wanted to work with prior to my application (I emailed them and got ghosted)

I just emailed my two POI's about what the timeline is looking like... I will update if/when I hear back!

 

I applied for the SHIPS, ICE program and they don't do interviews so I won't be helpful for that BUT hopefully they can give me some sort of inkling on what things are looking like this cycle

Also, just a point that last year (and the year before and before), admissions decisions went out the second Friday in February (aka tomorrow). But since it seems like there has been radio silence and literally zero interviews for any programs, I'm assuming they're running behind?? I also know GSE is renovating their entire campus within Stanford so maybe there have been issues figuring out how many people they can admit because of funding? Just grasping at straws here but some sort of clarity/update from admissions would be nice

Maybe, I have never called admissions to check so I wouldn't be able to tell whether they would say it or not. That would be nice tho, to stop this torture haha
