Integrative Biology Admissions Interview Process

I applied to a few integrative biology phd programs for fall 2024 admission, and I am particularly interested in EEB programs. I have contacted and stayed in touch with prospective PIs, and interviewed with them to receive official sponsorship before I applied. I'm a little lost since none mentioned admissions interviews (neither do the program websites), so I'm not sure what to expect. Are they typically done by a department panel, and how is it different then the initial interviews with the PIs? Are there even interviews for these types of programs? I'm first gen so I am navigating this a little blind lol! Thanks!
