Hello All!

Starting an admissions forum. Anyone hear back yet about interviews for the Columbia MS program?

I was told on Feb 1 by a professor that they'd be coming "in a few weeks"

yes!!! so excited to get in, but definitely still waiting for Columbia. i think historically they release admission results on the 15th

Got in! Still waiting on Columbia, but I like NYU's lit rep program a lot more.

I just got an email from Columbia!!!!

Accepted at Columbia Journalism School but with no scholarship aid. Acceptance and financial aid notification came in separate emails. 

I can’t believe CJS would be greedy enough to think anyone would take on $75k of student loan debt in this economy and with the journalism industry going through mass layoffs right now. 

I’m not going to CJS. Looks like the MS program is just for rich kids and richer intl students. I was offered a full ride at a different school and I’m happy to go there. Looking forward to attending a journalism school that actually puts their financial aid money where their mouth is. I suggest you all do the same.

Same! If anyone has ANY advice choosing between LitRep at NYU and Data Journalism at CJS please I would love to hear - I have no idea how to make this kind of decision!
