In the past I believe it has been the first Friday in April, but I could be wrong!

I was accepted to U of A!! Got the email a bit before 10am this morning (Alberta time). I am firmly accepting as it was the only school I applied for. So happy! Congrats to everyone

Hi! I am a current UofA SLP student. Last year, everyone received acceptance emails at the same time. I believe that waitlist and rejection emails were also sent at the same time last year. It sounds like it may be going differently this year though? As for the portal, don't worry about it. They won't update it for a month or two and they will confirm your acceptance through email. Not much is done through the portal at the beginning stages

thank you so much! Yeah I was wondering if they sent out all acceptance letters at the same time. I haven't received one so i guess it's safe to assume I've been rejected

It seems like it's different this year though so don't count yourself out yet! I can only speak to how it went last year

I was wondering if anyone had any information on being able to switch from the Augustana Campus to the Edmonton Campus. I got accepted into the Augustana one but for logistical reasons it would be much more preferable to attend the Edmonton Campus. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m still anxiously waiting to hear back from Alberta, wondering if anyone has received anything today? 
 

I know a huge chunk of acceptances/waitlists got sent out yesterday so I’m getting quite nervous. 😅 I really can’t go through another weekend of waiting

Hi everyone! Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! And to those who were waitlisted or didn’t get in this time, don’t give up! It took me two years to get into the program, and I can tell you that all the hard work and stress are worth it. Keep pushing!

I wanted to share that I have a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home for rent for those accepted to Western University’s SLP program. Rent is $900/month plus utilities. I had the privilege of living with fellow SLP students during my two years in the program, and it was the best decision I made! We were all on the same schedule, which made studying and assignments so much easier.

I thought it was all at once but someone said last year they didn’t get their rejection email until April 15. It seems like acceptances all came out at once though

In my experience UBC has sent out acceptances/waitlists on a Friday, and everything else the next week

Hi- I'm an undergraduate in second year looking ahead to apply to SLP. This forum has been super helpful for me looking ahead. For those that were successful in the admissions process - congrats! If you have any tips and advice, please DM me.  I have taken many prerequisites and I'm aware of the high sub GPA requirements which I think I can meet. I was wondering what a successful SOI looks like and was looking for tips in general since these programs appear to be super competitive. What do you think set you apart? I have relevant research experience lined up for the summer so I'm pretty excited about that !
