Northman Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Hi all Has anyone heard from Emory regarding interview invitations? sadturkeyleg and bgt28 1 1
gagne Posted Wednesday at 06:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:27 PM Just noticed there are two SUNY Buffalo results posted from Jan 8th and a new UIUC notification posted as of yesterday so a little nervous about what this means for me. One is a reject for Buffalo and another is a waitlist and the UIUC is an acceptance. Can only keep my eyes peeled on my emails and hope 🤞 bgt28 1
Hchak Posted Friday at 09:56 AM Posted Friday at 09:56 AM Saw an acceptance for UW Seattle Master's. As far as the website says, they don't offer a terminal MA, plus the grad coordinator said results for the PhD wouldn't be out before mid Feb. Is there a separate MA in English apart from the MA/PhD at UW Seattle?
gagne Posted Friday at 06:52 PM Posted Friday at 06:52 PM Just saw a waitlist go up for one of my schools. No emails from anyone yet. Nervous this will be a complete shut out season even as I’ve heard from no one.
chattycoffee Posted Friday at 07:18 PM Posted Friday at 07:18 PM Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well! Has anyone heard of UMass Amherst doing interviews at all? Haven't seen anything with any results for them since ~2013, has me biting my nails LOL!
TheDigitalHumanist Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM @chattycoffee I don't think UMass Amherst does interviews; at least, they didn't used to. I was accepted into the program in 2022. I ended up turning them down. It's a great program, though! Incredibly nice people! The stipend was just unliveable, especially with the teaching load. I just went back and looked-- I got the acceptance email on 1/21/22. If I remember correctly, they typically roll out their decisions earlier than most schools.
chattycoffee Posted Saturday at 08:36 PM Posted Saturday at 08:36 PM @TheDigitalHumanist Thank you so much for the info! I haven't seen much about their process anywhere on here, this was a huge help!
TheDigitalHumanist Posted Saturday at 08:44 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:44 PM @chattycoffee Of course! I'm here if you want to chat about the program or have other questions. Best of luck this cycle! Sending all the positive energy your way!
Hchak Posted yesterday at 10:43 AM Posted yesterday at 10:43 AM Anyone got any response from UC Santa Cruz Literature? Their grad coordinator had told me decisions would be out this week.
