Pohtato Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Hello all! I'll just provide a quick rundown about myself- Location - India Disadvantages - Low vision (40% loss) and low income household Currently - Final year (third year undergraduate) studying BA (Hons) in Political Science Prior policy experiences - - Worked as both an intern and a researcb scholar for one of the largest policy think tanks in the country for 7 months, mainly working with the research and communications department - Worked as a policy research and communications aide to a senior member of Parliament in the Upper House (Rajya Sabha) - Part of 2 major fellowships related to policy, where I was the youngest member and received scholarships for showing promise for social impact - Part of UNAI's Millennium Fellowship, working on a policy related project - Two policy related research publications Recommendations - Would be able to get great recommendations from a professor and the member of parliament Work areas - Education and tech policy Given all of the above, I would need to get a full scholarship in order to realistically take up any university offer. I later intend to go through either the IGO route or work as a government advisor/consultant, I am open to working in the private sector too. I am specifically looking for being admitted to the top policy schools and would be fine with waiting for 2-3 years, however getting a 90% to full scholarship is a must. So - - What are my chances, if I apply in this Fall 2025 cycle? (I can still partake in a RA role and an internship if I apply in January) - If I should wait a while, what areas/work profiles/skills should I focus on to make sure I get in?
