March7th Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) Hi, I’m a US student who did my undergrad at American in DC. I have extended family in Toronto and love the city, so I’m considering the UofT Munk school’s Master of Global Affairs program. I know this is a top school for working in Canada afterwards but I see myself returning to DC someday to work in US federal government consulting or contracting (had a previous internship in this space), so working for a private sector company. I’m not the most ambitious person and quite frankly, an actual policy job seems too stressful for me! Does Munk have any reputation/alumni network in DC? Would it be *that* much better for me to apply to SAIS, Georgetown, GW? I liked AU but I do want to go somewhere else that’s a little more competitive for grad school. Honestly, the chance to live in Toronto for a couple years is the biggest selling point for me but I don’t want to “sacrifice” my current career goals by doing so, if moving away from DC would hurt me. What do you guys think? Edited September 5 by March7th
