Asked in my interview, and the Yale faculty said decisions will go out by the middle of this week!

No way! Awesome if they can really let us know this week. Which discipline? I don't know if different departments put results out on different days.

I know! I interviewed last Thursday so less than a 1 week turn around feels insane haha. And I applied for photo!

Right? Maybe they are working through the weekend or interviewed less people than usual. I know @kamlee applied for GD so I will cautiously assume everyone will get their results this week. So far Yale has been reliable with their timing.

Q- I submitted new work like they asked but it wasn't brought up at all during the interview. Anyone else?

I interviewed for painting; I share the same experience. It felt like they were more concerned about my character and how I would fit in their academic setting; they even asked if I would show work in commercial galleries during my time at Yale if I were accepted

I interviewed for painting too, and I agree. It felt more like a vibe check whereas I was expecting them to grill me on my art, inspiration, and books I read. They asked me about the galleries as well, although they worded it in a way that felt like they wanted to know if I would prioritize the program and manage my time well.

I understand why they would ask too, especially given the reputation the program has gained (although I will say, I hope we are accepted, especially if we have to decide to hold off shows or turn down opportunities). I'm also curious: What questions did you ask them?

In my conversation they just said official letters/aid info sent by the 6th...anxious to get it signed

I didn't apply to ArtCenter, but I believe CCA should start rolling out decisions starting this week and onwards, according to the interviewer roughly 2 weeks ago.

my results:

Purchase - accepted for the dual MA/MFA

SMFA - accepted

CCA - accepted

VCU - rejected

Yale - rejected

Tyler - rejected

RISD - still no response, calling it a rejection

My work doesn't really fit within a particular discipline, but I thought printmaking would be the best program for me at all of these schools. Turns out the only acceptances I got were from interdisciplinary programs. It really makes me wonder if I would have gotten different results had I applied in other departments. Regardless! I feel pretty good about 3/7 and am super excited to visit Purchase next week
