Has anyone interviewed for Yale yet? Did you prepare your own presentation or did they share the work on their end? A bit confused by the instructions! Thanks :)

I interviewed for graphic design (not sure if the interviews vary per program) but they ask you to present and prepare your own work to share. The way it worked in my interview is that we had a brief chat on my experience and what I’ve been up to over the last couple years. Then I was asked to begin the presentation I had prepared of my work. The presentation lasts 10 minutes and you are given permission to share your screen during that time. After that, the rest of my interview was filled with a series of in depth questions from each of the faculty present in the interview.

还有人在等待VCU或CCA的回复吗?

I received an interview from CCA on February 22, but I haven't received the offer email yet. The major I applied for is MFA in design.

恭喜,太棒了!!!我得到了一个用于综合实践的!!

I applied for information experience design (IED), but there was no news, unfortunately, I just learned that this major does not look at portfolios, and I am curious and worried about what they use to decide admission.

Wondering how much funding everyone else got from Cranbrook. Even with 25%, it's so expensive🥲

Anyone else negotiate aid?

Hi all—Just had an interview with Hunter this past weekend and wondering if anyone knows about when we can expect to hear back with acceptances/rejections?

I think they mentioned we would hear back after 2-3 weeks during my interview

I'm curious how others have responded to receiving informal offers while waiting on other schools. Is it best not to mention that you're waiting to hear back from other programs, or should you mention this after the official invitation if they need a quick answer?

I've been transparent -- when UCSB called and were implicitly asking if I applied to other programs, I let them know that I had upcoming interviews with VCU and UCSD. The chair was very chill about it, saying how both are great programs as well. When I got into VCU and they emailed me a followup about what my feelings towards the acceptance was (I hadn't sent a final decision yet), I told them I was taking time to look at the funding packages since UCSB offered me very generous funds (and told them how much since I was trying to negotiate).

I also had the interview last week with CCA and I asked when we should expect to hear back, and I was told it would be about "2 weeks" from then. So I'm guessing we should be getting some answers sometime next week. Good luck!!!!

Most MFA programs have an agreement that, by law, prospective students with offers have until April 15th to decide. This is my third year and I have always been honest with programs in years past. During my first round of apps, I was accepted to one school and they were *hounding me* for an answer. I was waiting to hear from other schools and I found out about the April 15 Resolution (which says that grad students have until April 15th to give an answer). Anyways, that program kept hounding me and it put a bad taste in my mouth so I eventually declined. However, I think it's totally fine to be honest with schools - they know we are all applying to many programs and waiting to hear back.

which faculty members were present in your interview? and what were the questions you got? was it intimidating?

This is my first go-round, so I am curious.  I have noticed that a lot of the same folks get into a lot of the same programs, then it seems like they decline admission due to financial aid reasons, or just because they can only go to one school.  I would assume there is then a ton of churn for waitlisted students, and maybe even more interviews and offers.  Can anyone confirm, and/or give me an idea of what the full process looks like or how long it runs?  I got three interviews [Otis, Parsons, SAIC], but no offers yet, and none of them are my top choices [CALARTs, UCLA, Rutgers], so I am trying to figure out how to plan.  Thanks, and best regards.

on the edge of my seat waiting for a Rutgers answer post interview last week.

Anyone hear from VCU Painting and Printmaking yet?

I have not heard from VCU, whether for an interview or final decision! Not sure if anyone else who has posted on this forum applied to that department as I've been asking with no responses lol

It should be in the official letter of acceptance once you get it! Financial aid office has been really responsive
